Yes. All of our air-inclusive trips can be booked as “land only,” allowing you to book your own flight. You will be responsible for getting yourself to and from the airport when arriving in-country.

We often operate many of the same trips or similar trips each year. Email [email protected] to find out if a trip is offered annually. Many of our operators offer the same trips on different dates each year that are available for booking. (Please note that the Alumni Association does not sponsor these trips, which means they aren’t guaranteed to have other Michigan travelers on them.)

All Michigan Alumni Travel trips include many of the same activity elements, such as walking, standing, waiting in lines, getting on and off buses, etc. The amount and difficulty of these activities are typically what make up the different levels.

Medium: Faster pace, long walks with substantial distances covered, uneven walking surfaces, stair climbing, and embarking and disembarking buses.

High: Vigorous pace, frequent movements, extensive walking over uneven walking surfaces, hiking, embarking and disembarking buses.
