Lauren Caisman, ’10, took in the shimmering sight of Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion) during a trip to Kyoto, Japan.

In June, Howard Thomas, ’65, MSE’66, took his younger daughter and photographer-for-the-day, Karin, to view an elevated segment of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline just north of Fairbanks, Alaska. Howard helped engineer the pipeline system in the 1970s.

Omar Davidson, x’89, (left) and his son, Omar II, took the father-son trip of a lifetime last October when they trekked to Mount Everest’s South Base Camp in Nepal, an approximate altitude of 17,600 feet. The senior Davidson is a 2015 inductee of the U-M Men's Track and Field Hall of Fame, having won two Big Ten championships. In fact, his school records in the indoor 4x400-meter relay, indoor 4x800-meter relay, and outdoor 4x800-meter relay stand to this day.
