This rotating exhibit combines artifacts, archival documents, and artworks to explore the visuals, strategies, and tools of protest movements in the United States, from Freedom Riders and the Black Panther Party to the Chicago Seven trial and antiwar resistance. Presented as an immersive installation in UMMA’s Vertical Gallery and café, it also connects to a January 24 talk with Julie Ault and Julie Herrada on advocacy, art, and dissent.
