Kick off homecoming weekend with the debut of Alumni Day on Friday, Oct. 16. Enjoy free ice cream, explore Burton Memorial Tower, and discover U-M history on a special ALUM 101 Field Trip.
Come home to Michigan for the debut of Alumni Day, a new homecoming tradition featuring free activities, campus exploration, and opportunities to connect with fellow Wolverines.
Enjoy an ice cream social on Ingalls Mall, explore Burton Memorial Tower, or discover U-M history during a special ALUM 101 Field Trip. However you choose to spend the day, it’s the perfect way to begin a Maize and Blue weekend in Ann Arbor.
Homecoming Welcome Friday

Fuel up for homecoming weekend at a special Friday edition of Welcome Wednesdays. U-M students, faculty, and staff are invited to join us on Ingalls Mall, outside the Alumni Center, for free coffee, hot chocolate, and a breakfast snack, all served with a little extra Maize and Blue spirit.
Alumni Day Ice Cream Social

Join us for free ice cream outside the Alumni Center. Reconnect with fellow Wolverines, enjoy the energy of campus, and celebrate the start of a memorable weekend in Ann Arbor.
The Ice Cream Social is free, but advance registration is required.
Explore Burton Memorial Tower
During the ice cream social, from 4-7 p.m., explore Burton Memorial Tower, home to the 53 bells of the Charles Baird Carillon, and enjoy panoramic views of campus. Take the elevator to the eighth floor, then climb two flights of stairs (39 steps) to the bell chamber on the 10th floor.
Self-guided tours will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during Alumni Day. Space is limited, and the tours are not ADA accessible.
ALUM 101 Field Trip

- Meet at the Alumni Center
Join fellow lifelong learners for a special ALUM 101 field trip celebrating Alumni Day and kicking off homecoming weekend. Discover fascinating stories about U-M history and campus landmarks that have shaped generations of Wolverines. Admission is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.
Parking Info
Parking will be available for $10 at the Fletcher Structure beginning at 4 p.m. Before 4 p.m., public parking is available at the Palmer Structure or in any Ann Arbor public parking garage.
