U-M ROTC Alumni: Board of Directors

Meet the UMRA Board of Directors

The University of Michigan ROTC Alumni Association (UMRA) is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors, the driving force behind the growth, impact, and future success of the association. Comprised of alumni and officer leaders who are deeply committed to supporting Michigan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC programs, the board ensures that UMRA continues to foster connections across the Wolverine ROTC community, provide meaningful engagement opportunities, and strengthen the legacy of our ROTC graduates.

Our current board members bring decades of experience, service, and Michigan pride to UMRA:

  • MG (Ret) Arthur Bartell – President, Class of ’77

  • LTC (Ret) Daniel Allmacher – Vice President, Class of ’94

  • 1LT (Ret) Dave Babulak – Treasurer, Class of ’92

  • LTC (Ret) Robert Vokac – Secretary, Class of ’78

  • CPT (Ret) Jared Stein – Board Member

  • 2LT Brendan Heinonen – Board Member

The Professors of Military Science for each ROTC program—Army, Navy, and Air Force—also serve as full members of the board, ensuring a strong connection between alumni, cadets, and the programs that shape future officers.

If you are passionate about giving back, mentoring cadets, and helping guide the next chapter of UMRA, we encourage you to consider joining our Board. Your leadership, ideas, and energy can make a lasting impact on alumni engagement, program support, and the ongoing success of the Michigan ROTC community.
