Making the Michigan experience accessible to all deserving students is one of the goals of the Palm Beaches club. The generosity of our members allows us to award a scholarship each year to an incoming freshman from our club area (i.e., Palm Beach, Martin or St. Lucie Counties).
STUDENTS — HOW TO APPLY
Any student from our club area accepted by the University for the Fall semester is eligible. These students will be e-mailed a questionnaire which they would complete and return to the club by the application deadline. Once the Scholarship Committee has reviewed the applications, a recipient is selected and the award applied as a credit to the tuition bills for that year, with half applied to each semester’s bill. ALUMNI — HOW TO DONATE TO OUR ENDOWMENT CAMPAIGN
Scholarships mean a lot to the students from our area, given the cost of out-of-state tution and travel expenses. We have recently completed a campaign to establish a new scholarship fund, The Chuck & Ann Hutchins Endowed Scholarship of the Palm Beaches, which is an endowment whose scholarship award will grow over time. This scholarship will be awarded for the first time this year. Our current scholarship fund, The The Chuck & Ann Hutchins Scholarship of the Palm Beaches, has enough money to award another three years of $2,000 scholarships, so during that time we will be awarding both scholarships each year.
Even though our endowment campaign is now over, your donations are still greatly appreciated, as our club founder Chuck Hutchins would like to get the new fund to have a balance of $100,000 in order to make bigger scholarship awards.
