The University of Michigan Club of Northern New Jersey offers a need-based, non-renewable, scholarship to one scholar from the State of New Jersey who is enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan. The Club will award a $5,000 Scholarship award for the 2024-2025 school year. The announcement of the recipient will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the UM Club of Northern New Jersey before April 20, 2024.
Eligibility requirements for the 2024 award are noted below:
- The candidate must be an incoming Freshman with high academic achievement.
- The candidate must be identified by the Office of Financial Aid as a “high need” or “medium need” student.
- The candidate will be selected by the Scholarship Committee of the Northern New Jersey Club after evaluating essays submitted by the deadline.
- The candidate must have residency within the following zip codes within the State of New Jersey: All ZIP Codes beginning with “07” and the following ZIP Codes that begin with “08.”
Please submit your essay electronically by April 15, 2024 to be considered for the award.
Please note the UM Office of Financial Aid must approve the candidate’s eligibility based upon verification of data supplied on the applicant’s FAFSA application form before a selection may be confirmed by the Club.
