U-M Club of Fairfield County: Scholarships

Each year our club awards a one-time scholarship to one or more U-M freshmen from Fairfield County. The scholarship ranges from $500 to $1,500 and is based on both need and merit. The award is named in honor of the late George J. Lepofsky, the major donor when the scholarship was started years ago. The funds are held by the University for the club, and all donations are tax-deductible.

The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship awards to undergraduates at the University of Michigan who 1) reside in Southern Fairfield County, CT (the geographical region covered by our club), 2) demonstrate high academic qualifications, and 3) are designated by the Office of Financial Aid as having substantial financial need.  The final selection of recipients will be made by our club’s Scholarship Committee in consultation with the Office of Financial Aid”.
