U-M Club of Bluegrass: Letter From the President

Hello, Fellow Wolverines of the Bluegrass

I am excited to serve as your president of the University of Michigan Club of the Bluegrass for 2017-2018.

We are fortunate to have over 500 Michigan Alumni in the Bluegrass representing a wide variety of Wolverines. I have enjoyed watching our club grow, as we have adopted a wider variety of activities. We will continue this process during the coming year. Some of our plans include the popular sports viewing parties, monthly social gatherings, student recruitment events, student care packages, community service events, educational and cultural events, outdoors activities, and joint gatherings with other alumni clubs in the area. We are always looking for new ways to connect, engage and serve our local alumni, so please let the me know if there is an event or service activity that you would like to see.

As you may know, our Bluegrass Club is an official club of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan (“AAUM”), and our operations are primarily funded through a percentage of the membership dues paid to the AAUM by local alumni. If you are a member of the AAUM and live in the Bluegrass area, then the good news is that you are already an official member of our club! However, if you are not a member of the AAUM, we still encourage you to come out to our events and spend some time with your fellow Wolverines and Wolverine-fans. I am looking forward to meeting you and spending quality time with you this year.

Thank you, and Go Blue!
