Dasha Shvetsov serves as Marketing Co-Chair for the University of Michigan Alumni Association’s Phoenix Chapter. She graduated from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts in 2020 with a degree in Communication and Media and a minor in Science, Technology, and Society.
As Marketing Co-Chair, Dasha is passionate about connecting Wolverines of all ages across the Valley, both virtually and in person. She hopes to use storytelling and creative programming to spotlight Arizona alumni and their achievements, create opportunities for Wolverines to give back to the local community, and bring alumni together to experience everything Arizona has to offer.
Once in Ann Arbor, she immersed herself in the Michigan community. As a student caller with the Office of Annual Giving, she personally raised more than $25,000 for student scholarships. She also served as Fundraising Chair for MUSIC Matters, Director of Event Planning within Greek Life, a volunteer translator with Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County, a note taker for U-M Services for Students with Disabilities, and an HR Student Coordinator at the Ross School of Business.
Her interest in real estate and property management also began in Ann Arbor, where she supported leasing and marketing efforts for new developments within the student housing market. That experience ultimately helped shape her professional path.
Today, Dasha is a Manager of Brand & Insights at Greystar, a global real estate company. Throughout her career with Greystar, she has worked to improve marketing tools and processes, navigate national client needs, manage supplier relationships, and explore innovative solutions for both internal and external customers. Her current work focuses on acquisition and retention, brand loyalty, customer experience, social listening, and insights—connecting individual customer experiences to broader patterns and opportunities at scale.
Originally from New York, Dasha moved to Phoenix in 2023. Her commitment to leadership and service began at Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, New Jersey, where she served as a varsity lacrosse captain and student government event coordinator and was recognized as a Cum Laude and AP Scholar. Her experiences also took her abroad, including immersive Spanish study at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain and a service-learning trip to Quito and the Galápagos Islands in Ecuador.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Dasha enjoys staying active through Pilates, golf, and Orangetheory Fitness; traveling to destinations near and far, with recent summer adventures including Dubrovnik, Croatia, and Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada; and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking sourdough. She also loves hosting and bringing people together—an enthusiasm she looks forward to channeling into the Phoenix Wolverine community.

“As a first-generation college student, I committed to U-M without ever having visited Ann Arbor. By the time I graduated four years later, Michigan had given me a community, countless opportunities to lead and serve, the beginning of my career, and experiences that fundamentally shaped the way I approach the world.
Whether someone graduated last year or decades ago, recently moved to Arizona or has called the Valley home for years, I want them to see the Phoenix Club as a way to build relationships, discover something new, and stay connected to Michigan.
For me, being a Wolverine has never ended at graduation. It is a community you carry with you and I’m excited to help make that community a little easier to find here in Arizona. Go Blue!”
