U-M Association of Jewish Alumni: About

Originally established in 2008 and relaunched in 2026, the University of Michigan Association of Jewish Alumni (UMAJA) comprises interested individuals and members of the broader University of Michigan Jewish community.

Through various social, spiritual, and community-based events, our goal is to bring together Jewish Michigan alumni across the U.S. and the world and keep the connection between alumni strong. Active members promote the University in their communities, encourage outstanding students to attend the University, and promote the interests of the Jewish community within the University, including the Alumni Association. UMAJA is managed by an elected executive committee and governing board comprised of dedicated Jewish Michigan alumni.

Membership in the Association is open to everyone who supports our mission, alumni of the University of Michigan and friends of the Jewish community alike.
