The University of Michigan is launching M-Air, a groundbreaking initiative that will create a 40-mile research skyway connecting the university’s autonomy testing facilities with Detroit’s Michigan Central innovation district. This corridor will support real-world testing of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, beyond-line-of-sight drone operations, and other advanced aviation technologies.
