Co-sponsored with the Spectrum Center and the Career Center, the event featured panelists Raivynn Smith, ’17, and Donald Beckwith. Raivynn serves as the program specialist for events and partnerships at the Spectrum Center. Beckwith works at the Career Center as a coach coordinating and presenting workshops and programs to students across campus.

Handshake is the career platform for more than 6 million college students at over 350 schools. It is a job app for students that has more than 14,000 jobs and internships posted from employers that represent 99 percent of the Fortune 500, including financial institutions, tech companies, design and marketing agencies, and nonprofits. It gives them information on the network of career services offices at U-M, including the Alumni Association. As a student you can see all recruiting events on this site, including job fairs for different schools and colleges on campus.

This is where LSA undergraduates can apply for internship opportunities in the U.S. and globally. The site also promises the “opportunity for our undergraduates to envision the paths before them and look to life after graduation not as a cause of anxiety, but as a source of boundless enthusiasm.”
