Two-time All-American tailback and three-time All-Big Ten Conference honoree, Harmon was a decorated pilot during World War II. After playing for the Los Angeles Rams, he became a leading sports broadcaster. He is one of three U-M alumni to win the Heisman Trophy–along with Desmond Howard, ’92, and Charles Woodson, x’97.
