Howard, the first Big Ten receiver to lead the conference in scoring, scored 37 touchdowns at U-M, then enjoyed 11 years with five NFL teams and was selected to the Pro Bowl while playing with the Lions. He analyzes college football for ESPN. He is one of three U-M alumni to win the Heisman Trophy–along with Tom Harmon, ’41, and Charles Woodson, x’97.
