High schoolers across the U.S. are helping NASA monitor space weather with low-cost antennas they build themselves, thanks to a design from Michigan engineers. Supported by the University of Michigan and NASA’s SunRISE mission, the project gives students hands-on experience in heliophysics, radio astronomy, and engineering while contributing to real-time research on solar storms.
