About 45 million Americans wear contact lenses, but many give them up because of dryness and discomfort. In a recent Review of Optometry article, U-M Associate Professor of Ophthalmology Dr. Karen DeLoss explains how lenses work and shares tips for improving comfort, comparing proper fitting to “finding the right pair of jeans.” Her advice could encourage former users to try contact lenses again, especially with today’s newer, more comfortable designs.
