Since offering the nation’s first forestry courses in 1881, U-M has shaped generations of environmental leaders through its evolving programs, field training, and pioneering faculty. From the legacy of Filibert Roth and Samuel Dana to the rise of environmental justice scholarship, the school has continually expanded its scope to meet changing environmental and societal challenges.
