Wildfires have impacted Oregon, California and Washington, changing the Air Quality Index to the “very unhealthy” range. Smoke from these fires has moved across the country. MeiLan Han, MD, University of Michigan pulmonologist, explains what it means when the air quality is dangerous and ways for people to minimize their risk for illness.
