What do billionaire George Soros, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and Apple co-founder Michael Scott all have in common? All three have a mineral named after them. Minerals are often named after real people, a new U-M study finds, however, out of 6,000 mineral species, just 2.8 percent are named after women.
