What is Alumni Education?

In response to requests from Michigan alumni, the Alumni Association is working hard to facilitate lifelong engagement with the University for all alumni. As such, we have been looking at our offerings and repositioning what our Alumni Education program is all about in order to be the most relevant resource for alumni. There are a few ways for U-M academic units to partner with us to make this the best experience for Michigan Alumni.

• Sharing content on the Alumni Education Gateway. Launched in early 2019, this portal connects our alumni to relevant educational resources from all across the University.
• Partner with us if your event (either within or outside of Ann Arbor) includes alumni speakers or is open to multiple disciplines of alumni participants. We may be able to offer sponsorship (e.g., featured in the Alumni Education Gateway, shared in our marketing channels, partial funding).
• Work with us to provide direct programming for Michigan alumni. If you are lecturing or meeting with a group of alumni, we can help share this learning opportunity with local alumni.
• Explore your ideas for a possible collaboration with the Alumni Association that meets our shared goals of engaging U-M alumni who want to continue to learn.

Share Your Content with Alumni

One of the ways we’re helping alumni continue learning is with our new Alumni Education Gateway. It provides access to a wide range of U-M educational resources, from online courses and lectures to podcasts and videos to the latest research findings. The content is curated from our University’s schools, colleges, and units, and we’d love to have your area well-represented.

To have us review and possibly include your materials on the Alumni Education Gateway, simply upload the content using the brief submission form. Share your content regularly to keep alumni informed and up-to-date.
