Poor sleep health, especially in individuals with chronic conditions like diabetes or osteoarthritis, can lead to a decline in mobility over time. A study from University of Michigan Health found that sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea, were associated with increased use of assistive devices and worsened physical functioning. Could improving sleep be the key to better mobility and health for those with chronic illnesses?
