The chances of getting diagnosed with dementia vary widely across the United States, according to new findings from Michigan Medicine. Julie Bynum, M.D., M.P.H., the U-M Health geriatrician and health care researcher, shares insights from her study, highlighting that the chance of being diagnosed may be more about the health system than individual factors affecting dementia risk. Bynum also discusses what can be done at the personal and regional levels to improve health outcomes.
