A new study, led in part by U-M researcher Eduardo Villamor, found a significant link between grandmother’s obesity and increased risk of infant mortality in their grandchildren. Villamor, a professor of epidemiology at the U-M School of Public Health, highlights how the adverse health consequences of obesity can transcend generations.
