Love Aligns Most Couples Share Political Beliefs But Few Bridge Partisan Divide

Party polarization has been shown to color family and friend dynamics, but what about romantic relationships? A new U-M study shows that most couples share political beliefs; out of 4,000 people, less than 8% of couples comprised one Democrat and one Republican. But in those rare cases, what other factors influence love across the aisle? Lead study author Amie Gordon comments on the findings for Michigan News.
