As we progress through this holiday season, and while seeing loved ones, we must remember that COVID and other respiratory illnesses are on the rise and a threat to our health. University of Michigan experts express that it is ok to commune during the holiday season, but having a plan will go a long way in ensuring the health of those in attendance. Laraine Washer, M.D., a clinical professor of infectious diseases at the University of Michigan Medical School, talks about the vulnerability that one has when they’re willing to step out, especially the elderly, during the holidays while discussing five ways to reduce the risk of illness this holiday season.
