Health Care Jobs Bounce Back After COVID-19, but Some Sectors Still Struggling

Research from the U-M School of Public Health shows that while the U.S. healthcare workforce has largely recovered from the steep job losses of early 2020, the rebound hasn’t been even across all sectors. Skilled nursing facilities and intensive behavioral health centers, in particular, continue to face significant staffing shortages that began during the pandemic.
