An upcoming Ford School lecture will provide a timely and thought-provoking discussion on the global implications of the United States’ suspension of foreign assistance. Dr. Bama Athreya, former Deputy Assistant Administrator in USAID’s Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation, will examine the history of U.S. foreign policy, with a specific focus on whether international protections for rights and the rule of law ultimately benefit the U.S.
