In 1962, Turkish diplomat Burhan Doğançay discovered the beauty of urban walls covered in torn posters and advertisements in Manhattan, leading him to abandon diplomacy and pursue art inspired by public walls. Over fifty years, he traveled to over one hundred cities, creating mixed media works that reflect the dynamic, evolving nature of urban spaces. This exhibit showcases his exploration of how walls serve as sites of protest, expression, and the chaotic interplay of everyday life.
