What does it mean to honor and celebrate Latinx heritage? That’s the central theme of the exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the La Raza Art and Media Collective at the University of Michigan Museum of Art. Explore the cultural and political expressions of Chicano, Hispanic, and Latin American communities through the original issues of the collective’s journal, paired with artworks from three generations of Latinx alumni, and reflect on the lasting impact these visionary artists have had on Michigan’s cultural landscape.
This exhibition is free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
