The U-M Alumni Club of Greater San Francisco Scholarship Fund
The Greater San Francisco Alumni Chapter awards a needs-based scholarship annually to Bay Area students attending Michigan, where the cost to attend is currently over $70,000 per year.
This scholarship is an endowment fund, which means that donations grow over time and will support generations of future Bay Area Wolverines, no matter how large each individual gift is. The median donation to the fund is $10.
An uncommon education for the common man has always been a key pillar of Michigan’s values, and the Greater San Francisco scholarship fund seeks to further that mission. Past scholarship recipients have went on to pursue post-graduate degrees, work on renewable energy sources, play in the marching band, compete in ballroom dance, and beyond.
