Scholarship Information
The University of Michigan Alumni Club of Los Angeles (UMLA) strives to provide scholarships to the amazing Michigan students who hail from Los Angeles County each year. In addition to UMLA’s named scholarships, generous donations throughout the year from the U of M community, including those who attend UMLA events, support the University of Michigan Club of Los Angeles Alumni Scholarship. With the increasing costs of attending U of M, these scholarships help fill a financial gap for entering and current Michigan students from L.A. County.

If you are an entering or returning student from Los Angeles County, you may be eligible for one of the scholarships listed below. Applications typically open in mid- to late-May and can be submitted for about one month afterwards. Final decisions will usually be sent in mid- to late-July. Please note that these dates are subject to change year to year. Specific dates will be included in the downloadable applications below.
