How to Apply for U-M Club of Holland (Brooks and Nancy Wheeler) Scholarships
The Community Foundation of the Holland-Zeeland Area administers the scholarship program i9n conjunction with the U-M Club of Holland. The following is the description of the U-M Club of Holland scholarship program as posted on the web site of the Communtiy Foundation of the Holland-Zeeland Area:
The University of Michigan Club of Holland scholarship awards a $1,000 scholarship to a student planning to attend the University of Michigan. Applications are accepted from Black River, Calvary Christian, Fennville High School, Hamilton High School, Holland High School, Holland Christian High School, Saugatuck High School, West Ottawa High Schools and Zeeland High Schools. Applicants for this scholarship may also be considered for scholarships administered directly by the University of Michigan Club of Holland.
Scholarship applicants will be reviewed according to the following criteria:
- Acceptance at the University of Michigan for the upcoming fall semester
- High achievement on GPA, ACT and SAT
- Leadership and service to area high school
- Essay: Please explain why University of Michigan is your first choice and your educational goals and intended major.
