Bobby Kotick, x’82

In 1991, Bobby Kotick became the CEO of video game publisher Activision. He played a pivotal role in building the company into a global success in the video game industry. Kotick continued to serve as CEO after engineering a merger between Activision and Vivendi Games, forming Activision Blizzard in 2008.  In 2023, Kotick retired from his role after 32 years at Activision Blizzard after completing a sale of the company to Microsoft for approximately $70 billion. He is now focused on numerous charitable initiatives, including his role as co-chairman of the Call of Duty Endowment, a veteran-focused nonprofit Kotick founded in 2009.
