The Red Scare cost U-M physics student MILO RADULOVICH, ’54, his Air Force Reserve lieutenant position because of supposed Communist sentiment by his father and sister. Radulovich fought the decision, gaining the attention of journalist Edward R. Murrow’s “See It Now” national TV broadcast and millions of supportive Americans. Though reinstated, Radulovich dropped out and went on to a meteorology career. He served as a consultant on the film “Good Night, and Good Luck,” which centered on the ordeal.
