A new national poll from the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital finds that while many parents recognize the risk of sudden cardiac arrest in teens, far fewer know whether their child’s school is prepared to respond. The findings raise broader questions about how “heart safe” schools and communities truly are, and what it would take to ensure teens and adults are ready to act in an emergency.
