The U-M Museum of Art’s newest exhibition, American Sampler: Activating the Archive, looks back on a period when protest reshaped the nation. Bringing together artworks, archival documents, and rare ephemera from the University of Michigan’s Labadie Collection of political dissent, the exhibition explores interconnected movements for Black freedom, civil rights, and resistance to the Vietnam War, as well as the visual strategies that gave them power.
American Sampler is on view at the U-M Museum of Art.
