A University of Michigan research team is investigating how RNA influences stem cell development and the formation of eye cells. Led by ophthalmology professor Rajesh Rao, the study looks at how certain molecular signals guide cells to become part of the eye. The work could pave the way for new approaches to repairing vision and understanding eye diseases, including those related to diabetes.
