The Line 5 pipeline transports over 500,000 barrels of petroleum daily through the Great Lakes region, crossing multiple states and two countries. Mike Shriberg, a University of Michigan professor and former member of Governor Rick Snyder’s Pipeline Safety Advisory Board, explores the political landscape surrounding Line 5 in a Q&A with the School for Environment and Sustainability.
