This February, legendary Hollywood tubist Jim Self will complete a three-day residency at the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. As part of the residency, Self will kick off with a lecture sharing stories and insights from his illustrious career—including performing tuba solos for iconic films like Home Alone, Jurassic Park, and Sleepless in Seattle. The residency will culminate in a special guest recital, where Self will perform his own works of chamber music and jazz, showcasing his diverse musical talents.
