A new study from U-M’s Youth Policy Lab shows substantial improvements in rates of 8th-12th grade students reporting depression and anxiety symptoms. In Detroit public schools (DPSCD), rates of depression and anxiety are even lower than the national average. Researchers are pointing to increased mental health resources and screening in DPSCD.
