My Why
“The University of Michigan holds a deeply personal and transformative place in my life. As a proud alumna, my Michigan experience not only shaped my academic and professional path, but it also defined my purpose. During my time at Michigan, I had the extraordinary opportunity to participate in clinical research with Dr. Moshe Talpaz, studying treatments like Gleevec that brought hope to patients fighting leukemia, the same illness that profoundly affected my family. That experience became the foundation for my lifelong dedication to healthcare innovation and patient advocacy.
Beyond academics, the Michigan spirit—the teamwork, integrity, and commitment to excellence- continues to guide me every day. The friendships and connections I have built through the Michigan network have been a constant source of inspiration and support, both personally and professionally.
Now, as President of the University of Michigan Alumni Association’s Phoenix Chapter, I am honored to give back to the community that shaped me. My mission is to create meaningful connections, celebrate Michigan traditions, and provide opportunities for Wolverines across Arizona to come together and make an impact.
Choosing Michigan was more than a decision about where to study. It was a commitment to a legacy of excellence, leadership, and service. Those values continue to guide my work, my leadership, and my purpose today. I am proud to carry the Maize and Blue wherever life takes me. Go Blue.”
