PrEP, a medication that significantly reduces the risk of getting HIV, could be life-saving for Hispanic women who have been disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic in recent years. The problem is, they don’t know about it. A pilot program co-led by U-M researcher Maria Jose Baeza Robba is informing more people about the medication by adding it to an existing and proven HIV prevention program aimed at heterosexual Hispanic women.
