Patient safety is always top of mind for hospitals, and staff getting vaccinated against the flu is a critical step. A new U-M study shows that 96 percent of the hospitals serving America’s veterans, and 74 percent serving the general public, now require staff to get vaccinated against influenza or seek an exemption. Lead author of the study Todd Greene, Ph.D., M.P.H., discusses the importance of patient safety in this article from the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation.
