ER Screening Tool Helps Identify Youth at Risk of Experiencing Firearm Violence

A new U-M study suggests that the SaFETy score, a clinical tool developed at U-M and believed to be the only free resource of its kind, may help identify young adults and youth at risk of firearm violence. Jason Goldstick, U-M professor and co-director of the Institute for Firearm Injury Prevention’s Data and Methods Core, explores the tool and its uses.
