Steve is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Association and its leadership team. This team coordinates all Board of Directors activities and handles key relationships with leaders of all three U-M campuses.
Jerry and his team manage the financial risks of the Association, financial planning and record-keeping, as well as financial reporting to higher management. The team is also responsible for all aspects of the Association’s fundraising, including LEAD scholarships, regional scholarships, and Camp Michigania. The business operations team includes responsibility for membership campaigns, benefits and services, merchandise and the development of unique programs.
Dave and his team are responsible for engaging alumni globally through a network of alumni communities. It’s a network of hundreds of volunteers whose mission it is to engage alumni with each other and the University. The team also leads the organization’s University relations efforts to create collaborations with campus schools, colleges and units to benefit alumni, students and support University initiatives. They also provide leadership in delivering impactful events that promote the Association and its brand values.
James and his team are charged with raising revenue to help ensure more meaningful alumni connections and alumni success. Alumni Relations is the front line of communication with many of our members and delivering a personal experience with each call is important. The Membership team provides access to unique experiences for alumni while helping to generate support for services for recent alumni and events. The Annual and Major Giving team helps alumni direct their philanthropic support to ensure programs such as the LEAD Scholars, regional scholarships, and Camp Michigania remain strong.
Shelly and her team are charged with creating ongoing education and enrichment experiences that contribute to Alumni Connections and Alumni Success. The newly formed Education and Enrichment team works to identify relevant content that can be shared with the broader alumni community. The Alumni Career team provides alumni with career and professional development opportunities, including networking events and skill building seminars. The Alumni Travel program creates extraordinary trips with faculty experts who provide their insights into the local culture and aspects of their research with discerning alumni travelers.
Angila and her team ensure the Association is operating efficiently and effectively. The Finance team is responsible for financial statements, the quarterly forecast cycle, annual budget approval, maintaining and updating policies and procedures, filing annual taxes, and leading the external audit. The Technology team supports the organization by providing robust solutions to engage and track all touch points of our alumni. The Human Resources team builds and develops staff expertise across the Association, conducts the annual review process, and ensures we are coaching our staff to further enhance their careers. Angila also oversees facilities at the Alumni Center and the Association’s off-site office.
