Hazel Ai-chun Lin, MS’38

Lin was born in and completed her early schooling and medical degree in China, then came to U-M on the Barbour Scholarship. She served as an endocrinologist and surgeon at Jersey City Medical in New Jersey for the rest of her life. In addition to her full-time medical career, Lin authored a number of novels, including “The Physicians” (The John Day Co., 1951), as well as her memoir, “Weeping May Tarry: My Long Night with Cancer” (Branden Press, Boston, 1981).
