Western Michigan-based educator, international dignitary, and community advocate. Hodshire has an award-winning career in teaching social sciences, including serving on boards at Western Michigan University and fostering cultural exchange on the local community level. His work includes serving at the Asan/Lansing Regional Sister Cities program with South Korea and teaching internationally at Universiti Sains Malaysia. During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hodshire coordinated the donation of 15,000 surgical masks from the nonprofit China General Chamber of Commerce USA to health care providers in Kalamazoo. Hodshire has also enjoyed a career in film and television, including appearances in the film “Real Steel” (2011) and the music documentary “Who Let the Dogs Out”(2019).
