What acclaimed actress co-produced and narrated a 2009 documentary about human trafficking?

The prolific and award-winning LUCY LIU, ’90, has taken on many roles in her arts and entertainment career. Her acting credits include live-action films such as “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” (2003); live-action TV show roles such as “Elementary” (2012-19); and voice roles such as the “Kung Fu Panda” franchise (2008-16). Liu has also worked extensively behind the camera, including directing episodes of “Elementary,” “Luke Cage” (2018), and “American Born Chinese” (2023), as well as the short film “Meena” (2011). An official UNICEF ambassador since 2004, Liu’s advocacy work includes co-producing and narrating “Redlight” (2009), a documentary about human trafficking. Liu is also an exhibited fine artist with paintings, photography, and mixed-media works.
