Thirty-two percent of residents in Detroit live a mile or more away from a full-service grocery store. Is online grocery delivery the solution? The U-M Center for Racial Justice and Poverty Solutions surveyed residents to understand why they do or do not shop for groceries online, and analyzed whether these services can help reduce barriers to food access in the city.
